The ACT Government maintains and upgrades public open space infrastructure at local shopping centres. As part of the Shopping Centre Improvement Program the upgrades help to revitalise and improve access around the centres, encourage people to shop locally, inspire new tenants to occupy vacant shops and support the changing needs of the community.
The Campbell and Duffy Shopping Centres were constructed more than 50 years ago, and since then the expectations of these spaces have changed. Working in collaboration with Redbox Design Group custom solutions for the shopping centres provided a range of upgrades that improved the safety, accessibility and look and feel of each location. The main aim was to encourage the use and enjoyment of these public places by people of all ages.
