Brisbane City Council is shaping Victoria Park Barrambin into a new iconic destination for Brisbane, converting the 18-Hole Golf Course into an expansive 64 hectare parkland for the city. As the Host City for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Victoria Park Barrambin will also be the Games venue for the equestrian cross country.
The vision for Victoria Park Barrambin is : Natural Retreat - An urban parkland for adventure, discovery and reconnection. Through extensive masterplanning by Urbis and the Brisbane Green Consortium, aspects of restoration, reconnection, and recognition were identified as the essential design principles. These principles allow the project to celebrate the unique interwoven landscapes, make connections that stitch the parkland back to the city, and create a place to celebrate culture, history and nature.
The Furniture Collection is a key element that embodies these principles for Victoria Park Barrambin. While providing the very necessary requirements for comfort, amenity and safety, the furniture also speaks to the fabric of the project and integrates into the overall place experience.
